Amy has been in practice at Amy Avery Counseling Solutions since April, 2018, but she has been a respected and sought after counselor for much longer. With her Bachelors Degree in Communications and Religion, along with her Masters of Divinity, Amy started her career as an Associate Pastor of Pastoral Care in Worthington, Ohio, where she ministered and counseled for more than six years.
Realizing that she had a gift and a passion for counseling, Amy received her Masters in Counseling from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio in 2011. The following year, Amy joined the Center for Balanced Living in Columbus, Ohio, and during her 6 years at the Center, her focus was primarily on treating eating disorders, which allowed her to increase her knowledge as well as make many great connections in the counseling community.
One of those connections was Bill Mason, of Bill Mason Counseling Solutions, a practice that focused on, among many things, treating the underlying trauma. Intrigued by Bill's unique approach to therapy, Amy began discussing the possibility of learning from him, which ultimately led to her starting her own practice.
As Bill's partner, and under his mentorship, Amy's practice has flourished in a very short time. Click here to see Amy's profile at Bill Mason Counseling Solutions.
