Gayle Kuhr,
LPCC, MSED. I enjoy working with children and their families to help guide them through the tough years. Parenting isn't easy and being a kid and learning how to navigate the world is also hard at times. I can help alleviate some of that stress. I also work with adults who are suffering from depression and/or anxiety or difficulty getting through the day to day. By changing the way we view life, social interactions and stressors, we are able to change how they affect us and in turn, how we feel. Stress is a normal human condition, but how you allow it to affect your day to day life is up to you. I believe that talk therapy is one of the best ways to get through the many challenges that life throws at us. Discussing the issues you are facing can help you work through them effectively, and for the long term. I use cognitive behavioral approach, asking my clients to connect how their thoughts affect their actions. What have you tried to better your relationships? Has it been working? Set up an appointment with me and let's see if I can help you find new ways of doing things to improve your life.
